Georgi Damyanov

Prof. Georgi Borisov Damyanov obtained a degree in Textile Engineering in 1951 and a Doctor of Science in 1975 from Moscow Textile University. He has served on the boards of directors of textile companies and for many years has been president of the Bulgarian Association of Textile Engineers. He is a full professor in the Textile department of the Technical University of Sofia. He has lectured on textile technology in numerous countries, serving as a visiting professor at MIT in the U.S.A. in 1968-1969. He is the author of over 250 research works published in professional textile journals in ten countries and has been the author and co-author of 41 textile textbooks and monographs.
