Robert F. Moran, PhD, FCCM, FAIC, FACB, FIUPAC, is associate professor at Wentworth Institute of Technology (Boston, MA), and president of both AccuTest Inc., a provider of External Quality Assessment products and services, and mvi Sciences, a consulting and educational services organization. A fellow of the College of Critical Care Medicine, the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry, and the Academy of Clinical Biochemistry, he also holds several specialization certificates, including point-of-care specialist. He has published numerous papers, monographs, book chapters and opinion articles on subjects including lipoprotein assessment, federal regulation, international standardization, blood gas quality performance, and hemoglobin analysis.
